GENEPLUS Pen Show Information Page

Pen Show eligible age for entries: September 1, 2019 – April 30, 2021

 

Entry deadline:  October 20, 2021. 

Entry Fee: $50/pen

 

Entries are limited to four entries per individual/ranch. Entry fees are due in full at the time of entry.

Grand Champion and Reserve Grand females in each division will have the option to sell in the GENEPLUS Registered Female Sale on November 5th.  Owners of a Champion or Reserve Champion female will have one hour at the conclusion of the show to declare their female(s) eligible for the sale.  Pen of Two champions will sell as buyer’s choice lots, with only one heifer selling per pen.

Lot tags will be provided for all entries for the purpose of the Sale Option.  Females must be tagged prior to arrival at Chimney Rock.

A third-party judge will be utilizing complete and current performance information from IBBA Regstr.  All performance information should be submitted to IBBA prior to October 20th. All heifers must be parent verified through IBBA prior to show day.

Females will be shown unhaltered in pens and all entries will be present at the sale site to participate.

All females will be videoed on Thursday November 4th at the CRC facilities by Ideal Video Production.  Videos will be used as part of the public presentation and upon completion of the pen show the videos will be the property of the consignor to use as they wish in future endeavors.

Animals must be clipped according to Show Eligibility and Inspection of Exhibits. No fitting will be allowed. No blowers, halters or other related show equipment will be allowed.

Animals must have current interstate health certificates and registration papers. All papers will be checked.

Females September 1, 2019 thru April 30, 2020 must be palpated safe and so noted on health certificates or have calf at side. Calves at side must be registered with the IBBA or the pair will not be allowed to show.

All tattoos/brands should be legible and match registration papers. Cattle with incorrect tattoos/brands or any discrepancies are ineligible to show.

Exhibitor must provide own feed, feed pans, water buckets, hay and bedding.  Exhibitor is responsible for the care of their own cattle.

 

Divisions will be as follows: Champions and Reserves will be crowned in each division with the option to sell, with a maximum total of 4 pens allowed to sell in the GENEPLUS Female Sale November 5th.  Pen of Two will sell as a buyer’s choice with only one heifer per pen selling.

Division 1: Pen of One Brangus or Ultrablack Female

Division 2: Pen of 2 Brangus and/or Ultrablack Females

 

Classes within each division are as follows:

Sept-Dec 2019; Jan-April 2020; May-Aug 2020; Sept-Dec 2020; Jan-April 2021

Champions in each division will receive a $500 cash prize.  Reserve in each division will receive $250 cash prize.  In addition, all exhibitors will be entered into a drawing for 2, $500 service/product credits at Trans Ova.
